In My Cycle is an interactive installation that externalizes hormonal and emotional sensations through touch, sound, and spatial storytelling. Developed through artistic performance and soma design, the work trans- lates lived menstrual experience into a walkable sound installation consisting of suspended interactive wooden spheres. Each sphere representsa recurring bodily sensation encountered over two decades of menstrual cycles. The conductive spheres can be activated through touch and invite visitors to listen, linger, and learn. The shared embodied memories create a space for self-reflection, conversation, and menstrual literacy. By en- gaging with feminist HCI, soma design, and critical menstruation studies, this work explores how menstrual technologies can become sites of sen- sual and reflective attention, public dialogue, and intimate knowledge exchange. Sharing intimate sensations through this walkable installation offered both connection and protection, transforming vulnerability into an opportunity for collective learning and access intimacy.

How can we design interactive objects to foster awareness of
and access to mental health in our society?
How can we design technology that make intimate, invisible ex-
periences visible to support self-reflection, communication and
collective learning?
How can we design interactive spaces where sharing embodied
sensations provides a sense of safety as well as connection?
